Trudi has been teaching since 1985 and is a flute specialist, and has a 100% pass rate. Trudi currently has vacancies for students on flute to advanced level and beginners Piano and music theory.
When teaching, Trudi aims to cover a variety of topics. An average lesson covers:
• Musical theory How to work out scales, rhythmic analysis & note value evaluation, and time signatures.
• Listening to music Discussion of different musical styles & of different instruments in short excerpts.
• Musical expression & interpretation Creating different tone/moods to suit the piece, and realise the composer’s intention.
• Aural skills Singing & pitching notes correctly, listening to tonality.
Places are very limited so please give me as much notice as you can if you require booking lessons.
