Hello and thank you for visiting my website, my name is Trudi Garth. If you want to learn the flute or Piano in the Rugby or Coventry/Warwickshire area then it doesn't matter if you have played the flute/Piano before or not, my 23 yrs performing and teaching experience will show you how to play and read music in no time. You can learn to play the Flute and Piano seriously and take exams or you can just play for fun. I am a member of the Musicians Union and can offer individual Lessons in the pupils own home or at my Coventry based Studio. This is strictly one to one private tuition which coupled with the determination to succeed delivers fast results. I do not teach groups of pupils as practised in the present state school system. Whatever your reasons for learning to play an instrument give me a call or email me today!

If you do not have an instrument I can arrange a hire one for you so that you can see if you really like playing before you buy one, music books and accessories are also available through me.
Flute and Piano Examinations
How far you go is really up to you. Practicing your FLUTE or Piano at least half an hour per day is very important to see noticeable improvement.
I am serious about examinations and have a 100% pass rate often at merit or higher. I choose the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) syllabus, although examinations are entirely optional and down to you. Some students find exams too stressful and this puts them off playing at all, but others reach a high standard of playing without taking a single exam. It all depends whether you want to make music your career or not. If you do decide you want to take your grades, new students are taught the basics and correct techniques before moving on to grade 1.

Lesson fees are payable 4 weeks in advance or by arrangment and fees depend on your location. I am available to teach during the school holidays if requested.
